Privacy policy

Averbo is a trading name of Bind CRM Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12500271) with its registered office at 3rd Floor Cragside House, Heaton Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE6 1SE, United Kingdom. We build and host websites for businesses from a written description.

For anything in this policy, email us at [email protected], or write to us at our registered office. We answer requests about personal data within one month.

• Our customers, who have an account with us.
• People who visit averbo.ai, including anyone who uses the chat, sends the contact form or types a description into the box on the homepage.
• Visitors to the websites we host for our customers. For those sites, our customer is the business you are dealing with; we process the data on their behalf, as their service provider.

• Your account: name, email address, password (stored hashed), phone number if you give it, and the business details you type into a brief.
• Billing: your card is handled by Stripe and never touches our servers. We keep the Stripe customer reference, your plan, invoices and the last four digits of the card.
• Your sites: everything you ask us to build and every change you ask for, including photos and documents you upload.
• Domains: the registrant details a registry requires (name, address, email, phone), passed to the registrar.
• Support: emails and chat messages between us.
• Usage: server logs with IP addresses, and, if you accept the banner, analytics and advertising cookies.

We use this data to provide the service you signed up for (building, hosting and changing your sites, billing, domains and support), to keep the service secure, to send you emails about your account and your trial, and, with your consent, to measure our advertising. We do not sell personal data.

• Stripe for payments and billing.
• Cloudflare for DNS, domain registration and protection in front of our servers.
• Amazon Web Services for servers, file storage and backups.
• Postmark for sending email.
• Anthropic (Claude), which generates the first draft of each site from the brief you write. The brief is sent to it; your account details are not.
• Google and Meta, only for the analytics and advertising tags you accept.

Our control panel and database run in the United Kingdom, and the websites we build are hosted on our servers in the United Kingdom and, as we add them, in the United States. The UK has data protection laws recognized as adequate by the European Union.

We keep your account data for as long as you have an account and for twelve months after it closes, in case you come back or there is a billing question. Invoices are kept for seven years, as tax law requires. Backups of your sites are kept for thirty days.

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to or restrict what we do with it. If you live in California, you have the rights the CCPA gives you, including the right to know what we collect and to have it deleted, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising. If you live in the UK or the European Union, you have the rights the GDPR gives you, and you can complain to your data protection authority.

averbo.ai sets a session cookie and a security cookie that every visitor needs. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set if you accept them in the banner, and you can change your mind on any page. The sites we host for customers set their own, which their privacy policy describes.

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and if the change matters we tell customers by email.
